away dream all away is an entire poem by Samuel Beckett, and the title and text for the piece. I wrote it in a frenzy as a response to my discovery of the formidable Australian band Hiatus Kaiyote, whose music is often described as Multi-Dimensional, Polyrhythmic Neo-Soul. This is a playful piece, meant to evoke some of the so-called “stank” that Hiatus Kaiyote do so well, a laid back, crunchy kind of hip-hop-inspired sound.
